Key Requirements
- Experience with HV and PD cable testing on 132 kV and 33 kV XLPE cables.
- Familiarity with capacitor bank commissioning.
- Competence with standard, locally-calibrated test instruments: Omicron, Megger, Phoenix, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of substation protection, control, interlocking, and SCADA/SCMS principles appropriate to the role.
- Sound command of English, written and spoken, able to prepare and close out test documentation to client format.
- Commitment to HSE discipline and safe systems of work, familiarity with permit-to-work and method-statement / risk-assessment practice.
Required Tickets & Certifications
- TAQA approval for the relevant discipline, or clear eligibility and readiness to obtain it prior to mobilisation.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Prior testing and commissioning experience on high-voltage substations.
- Valid passport with adequate validity.
- Medically fit for site deployment in the Western Region climate.
- Willing and available to mobilise on or about 1 December 2026 for the project duration.
