Operations Manager - Biomass Power Plant

This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of a state-of-the-art 50MW biomass power plant. The Operations Manager will oversee all facets of plant operations, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to global best practices. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in biomass power generation, capable of leading a diverse team and driving operational excellence in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Key Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience with biomass power generation technology, including fuel handling, boiler operations, turbine-generators, and auxiliary systems.
Strong understanding of power plant safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse, multicultural team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong analytical skills.
Results-oriented approach to operational challenges.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Required Tickets & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in power plant operations.
At least 5 years in a senior management or Operations Manager role within a biomass power plant.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale power plants (preferably 50MW or greater capacity).
Willingness and ability to relocate to Vietnam for the duration of the 3-year contract.
